Not likely.  SGI is making sure that Linux runs on its Visual
Workstations (Intel-based), which will not run IRIX.

Additionally, they seem to be interested in getting it to run on some
desktop models (i.e., Indy).  But it would be quite some time before
they're ready to ditch IRIX altogether.  Do you really want to run
Linux on a cluster of Challenge/XLs?

nothing now, as is true of AT&T.
