I like the new design, a good choice of complementary colours. It does seem to be easier to navigate now and the layout of the news items at=20 the bottom is quite attractive. Only one technical criticism and that is that the page could do with a very small margin at the sides, as it looks a little untidy with stock Firefox: http://www.darklogik.org/tmp/061005.png (original on the left, adjustment on the right) I've not had a look at the CSS yet, so I'm not sure how easy that would be to implement.
