Well, the obvious question: where's the problem? How do you determine that there's something wrong? Your mail system is reporting UTC+0100. If you have the right date and the right contents of /etc/localtime, it should be impossible for it to show GMT. What happens when you enter the following? $ date $ cmp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/London /etc/localtime If the cmp says they're different, change to cp and try again.
