Line 210 is "numchecks++;", where "numchecks" is a static variable. There is no reason why that should involve reading from 0x10018. My personal suspicion is that this is probably a hardware fault; I'd let the machine run some more and see if it panics again in the same place or somewhere different next time. :-) Colin Percival
