I've also run across some Linux advocates who make much of Sun's promotion of UltraPenguin. Well, Sun wants to sell more hardware, so it's pretty easy to see why they jumped on the bandwagon. And it's pretty plain also that nobody from Sun is really pushing Linux to replace Solaris in the datacenter.
