You need to update your ports tree, which is handled separately from the base system. The simplest method is via portsnap(8) (qv http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=3Dportsnap&apropos=3D0&sektion= =3D0&manpath=3DFreeBSD+8.2-RELEASE&format=3Dhtml or http://tinyurl.com/3cr6ktw ) And then run portupgrade (or portmanager, or portmaster) to upgrade your installed ports. You can also use cvs to update your ports tree, but it occasionally presents certain difficulties. --=20 --
