Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hello, Without reading the documentation(!) I went ahead and ordered Freebsd 3.1, mainly to look it over and compare it with linux which I've been using since '94. However my SCSI controller is an Adaptec 1522 and I see that it is not shown on the initial options when booting the instalation kernel. Therefore I'm don't seem able to install 3.1. Is there any other way to install Freebsd (my only free disk is on this controller)? Do the development versions of freebsd now support this controller? (I bought the 2.2.5 in 12/97 and this does support the controller, but is obviously quite old, and want to look at the latest release. Thanks for any pointers.
