The same hardware combination works fine under Win95 too, so I'm pretty stumped as to what's going on. The Brooktree 848 card came as part of a Zoltrix TV package, the sound card is a no-name Yamaha OPL3 "thing", and the cabling runs from audio-out on the capture card, to line-in on the sound card, and then on to the speakers. FreeBSD is -current as of yesterday, relevant details from dmesg output are included below. Any suggestions gratefully accepted :) I also notice that the performance of fxtv is an order of magnitude better (much smoother all around) with a Matrox Millenium running with the SVGA X-server as opposed to an S3 ViRGE DX/GX card under the S3V server (otherwise, both cards perform equally as well under X). -aDe ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ...
