Our older version (now obsolete) 2.4.23C did work just fine under FreeBSD when you compiled it the "right" way. :-) We had a bug in there (long since forgotten AND fixed BTW) which would disappear when you compiled with -O or -g (if you get crashes, recompile with the other one than the one you used to originally compile) CFLAG. Better solution: grab our latest version 3.5.6 -- there will always be bugs, but this one is much better. Also, periodically check out our FAQ since we list found and fixed bugs there.
