After I updated my OS to FreeBSD/5.0 Current, the printing jobs sometime work sometime not! I don't know the reason. The network printer is LaserJet4 Plus, on a server phoenix.cl.msu.edu. The /etc/printcap file is list as following. lp|lj308|HP LaserJet 4 Plus cc308 :lp=:rm=phoenix.cl.msu.edu :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp :lf=/var/log/lpd-errs :mc=10 If I type "lpr filename" for printing, the computer dosen't say anything wrong, but if I type "lpq", it says, "Warning: no daemon present ......". I checked processes, the lpd daemon is running. I don't know what's wrong, if anybody can help, please send me a message! Many Thanks!
