The problem is this. I have an existing server running: FreeBSD [Hostname] 2.2.7-RELEASE FreeBSD 2.2.7-RELEASE #0: Mon Dec 14 11:03:24 EST 1998 [Kernel specs] We are in the process of migrating to a new server running: FreeBSD [Hostname] 3.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE #2: Wed Mar 17 14:14:55 GMT 19 99 [Kernel specs] I'm using rsync to do the updates and all is working well except I can't for the life of me get the password file to work on the 3.1 system. Maybe I'm missing a step or something. Can someone give me the breakdown of a procedure to do such a change. (Just inserting the new password file) Thanks.
