FreeBSD has always detected it as rl0, and it has worked perfectly as such. Now, I want to install a second ethernet card, and a purchased a DFE-530TX+. FreeBSD does not detect the card correctly, and instead says that it's an unknown card (vendor 0x1186). Also, BIOS detects both cards properly. How can I get the kernel to find the card properly? I've tried using UserConfig, but there are only 10 choices for network drivers, and the one I have isn't listed. Besides, shouldn't it already be loaded with from the prior card? I realize that the "+" and the "no +" cards run officially on different drivers, but since my original works with the rl0, I would think that both should work with the rl(4) driver. Any help? Thanks.
