I submitted ports/116493 last night, which addresses some of the issues you mention. I don't have time to take on maintainership of this port, but I can certainly work up some additional patches to address the points you mention. The websieve project itself seems to have ground to a halt, with no development work since about 2004, but it is still widely recommended for dealing with sieve stuff.
