To change to the directory /usr/ports/editors/staroffice52 (I am assuming you have version 5.2, if you have version older then that look at staroffice5) You will need to copy the following files into the directory /usr/ports/distfiles: so-5_2-ga-bin-linux-en.bin 109939-03.tar.Z The second file is a patch which is a 40MB patch file, you can download it from http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/pds.cgi?ports/editors/staroffice52 This is the best method for installing, It does a lot of the work for you. You can install it using linux rpm or just the standard routine.
