Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Hi, I was setting up a new machine, and was having cabling difficulties. I was getting so many error messages on the console that I couldn't really do anything without ing every other second. How can you make a syslog free console? Is there any way I can make /dev/console appear only on ttyv0? I even changed the /dev/console line to /dev/null in /etc/syslog.conf and HUP syslog but it still didn't work. Is there such an option in either /etc/syslog.conf or /etc/ttys to fix this? Thanks, Kevin
