Please HELP !

I have a 486 system with IDE disk and  non SCSI 
Panasonic CDROM - CR-563-B with Multimedia Pro 16
(Sound Blaster compatible) card.

Is there any way to install to my system  FreeBSD 2.0  ?
Are there  any plans in future to support non SCSI CDROMS apart 
from Mitsumi ?
