System messages say the following, on connection: Dec 16 19:48:01 duncan root: Unknown USB device: vendor 0x04b0 product 0x0422 bus uhub1 Dec 16 19:48:02 duncan kernel: ugen0: on uhub1 So, a bit of googling later, I discover gphoto2, which is in ports as graphics/gphoto2. I installed that and gtkam (for good measure) and fired them up. Unfortunately gtkam didn't work, and gphoto2 didn't either, and suggested that I run it with debug options, which produced the attached trace. >How-To-Repeat: gphoto2 -l produces: *** Error *** PTP I/O error *** Error *** An error occurred in the io-library ('Unspecified error'): No error description available *** Error (-1: 'Unspecified error') *** For debugging messages, please use the --debug option. Debugging messages may help finding a solution to your problem. If you intend to send any error or debug messages to the gphoto developer mailing list , please run gphoto2 as follows: env LANG=C gphoto2 --debug --debug-logfile=my-logfile.txt -l Please make sure there is sufficient quoting around the arguments. The debug options mentioned produce the attached log. >Fix: Not known yet: investigating, but thought I'd send a -pr flag up anyway. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
