Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I'm relatively new to FreeBSD ( < 1 yr), and I thought I understood the whole -stable & -release thing but I seem to have become re-confused with the 3.1 release. Could someone please explain it to me? I've been messing around with FreeBSD off and on since 2.2.5. Which version should I download (i.e. 2.2.8-Release, 2.2.8-Stable, 3.1-Release, or 3.1-Stable)? Please clear this up for a poor, lonesome, downtrodden Windows NT Admin. (I'm trying to reform, honest...)
