(no sources just everthing else) the install says it only need about 200 mb for the total install, is the correct? I have a 540hd with 10mb dos, 10mb var, 20mb /, 64mb swap, and the rest /usr. am i out of space or setting up partitions incorrectly for the full install? also, i have heard that x is sorta like windows. im curious to see it. im wondering if i get x running if it will be easier to navagate than the command prompt for a beginner. i got the command prompt and would like to learn more. i know how to check the bin directory and pull up man pages for the programs but i think i need something more basic. i cant even diagnose the above installation problem cuz i dont know how to check disk space remaining on a partition or the whole disk for that matter. where do i find the most basic commands. (i found the man for ls so i can read if i know what to look for) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- / BIG BEAR ONLINE INFORMATION SERVICE SERVING BIG BEAR VALLEY \ - Ski/Tourist & System Info Send Blank Email to info@bigbear.com - \ FREEBSD UNIX Mail List 4 TBBS/ISP SysOp's fbsdlist@bigbear.com / - Modem (909)866-2138 28.8 Fido 1:207/501 Inet sysop@bigbear.com - / Computer/Network parts at wholesale prices call (909)866-2196 \ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
