Answering yes to "do you want Linux binary compatibility" during sysinstall causes it to fetch linux_base-6.1 - I rather thought it would install 7.1. The package retrieval (from ftp.uk.freebsd.org) goes OK but then the pkg_add fails. Sysinstall says "add of package aborted, error code 1". The alt-F2 screen reveals that it is trying to do a kldload of the kernel module and this fails with a "kldload: can't load linux: no such file or directory".
