Anyways, the error message you quote in the cvs log is different from the error message that the package-build fails on. Do you have two failure cases? I'm getting confused. 1) could we see the output from the failing install(s). 2) what's the date on your kernel, specifically, what rev. is /sys/kern/kern_exec.c? 3) What version of rpm (the sole dependency of the linux_base port) is installed? You may well have run into a problem, but I'm now past the point of too confused to guess. :) I don't know how interested the rest of cvs-committers is at this point.
