Today I bought a TV card name "Typhoon TV Tuner". It has the BT848 chip on board and with winsuck it works. After adding bktr0 to my kernel the card will get loaded like this: bktr0 rev 18 int a irq 12 on pci0:11:0 Miro TV, Temic NTSC tuner. The first thing is, that it should be a PAL tuner, so why does it say it's NTSC (under winsuck it works as a PAL tuner). When I try to start fxtv (v.047, FBSD 2.2.7Rel) I get a window but nothing happened even when I try the correct setting (input-mode cable weurope, palbdghi, tuner etc.). Sometimes I get a strange picture as if it really uses NTSC even though I told the card to use PAL. The picture is scrambled but divided in 4 parts of the window. It's black & white and it only moves when I hold one of the menue buttons (file, input etc.). When I don't hold the mouse then the picture freezes. I tried it with 15bpp and 16bpp. I also tried some frequencies from a list where I can test exact frequencies on the cable for getting a streaming picture. But after trying that the picture is black. So what to do now ? I also tried fxtv -debug startup. Here's the output: Fxtv v0.47 DETECTED CAPTURE CARD(S) [DRIVER PROBES]: bktr0 rev 18 int a irq 12 on pci0:11:0 Miro TV, Temic NTSC tuner.
