The board is based on a ALi Aladin V chipset. The system has: Biostar M5ALA running at 66 MHz AMD K6 233 32MB DIMM - 1 S3 Virge clone video card Western Digital IDE drive with previously installed 2.2.6 STABLE (~6/10/98) 3Com 3C509 ethernet card It boots but reports about an unrecognized ACER IDE controller The system crashes before completing multi-user boot; I will try and provide a trace back.
