Sounds identical to this one, which dual boots XP and 5.2.1, except that I added an extra 512M of RAM. You'll have fun freeing up space for a FreeBSD partition - I booted the CD, deleted the XP partition, created the partitions I wanted, then quit and ran the Windows restore from the BIOS setup to reload the preinstall from the hidden restore partition on the HDD. If it's open-box you'll probably want to reload the preinstall anyway. See http://gerda.univie.ac.at/freebsd-laptops/index.pl?action=show_laptop_detail&laptop=307 for other essential info. I've had this T41 for 3 months and I'm really impressed. It replaced a TP600E which had served me well for 5 years. >Price: CAD$1720 (that's about US$1300) > >It's open-box (meaning it's been to a customer, and returned within 7 >days). > >If it's anything like the T22 I had, I'm sure I'll love it. > >One thing mentioned to me on IRC: load the system see if the fan goes >on, then unload, and see if the fan goes off.
