Disabling mail box editing keeps the tech support phone at Intel from ringing when some elm user either accidentally hits `e', or does it just to see what it does. Disabling mailbox editing _is_ the default for the standard elm distribution, you have to explicitly answer the config question Y to get it turned on. Elm is the only mail agent I know of that allows this potentially messy operation directly from a very simple menu selection. Running an editor on a mail box is an experienced operation, not something that should be so easily done. Experienced users know how to edit a mailbox without the elm `e' shortcut, novice users tend to screw them selves over with it. -- Rod Grimes rgrimes@gndrsh.aac.dev.com Accurate Automation Company Reliable computers for FreeBSD
