I've just looked, and it > doesn't appear to be one of the top-level configurable options > on the freetype2 port, either. > > I'm running ghostscript8 now, instead of ghostscript-gpl, and > everything seems to be fine, so I won't be able to test this > theory. > > Cheers, Thanks for reply :) for benefit of freebsd-ports-bugs I'll give this 7.2-STABLE FreeBSD 7.2-STABLE #1: Sat Aug 29 03:53:14 EST 2009 /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 my system is doing a portupgrade -a which is where I noted the FreeType bridge was disabled by default - i've forced a rebuild of FreeType2 with the above mentioned option , then enabled Freetype bridge in the ghostscript8 option and allowed portupgrade to continue. ghostscript8-8.70 is installed the /var/db/pkg/ghostscript8-8.70 files are freshly dated, so I'm assuming it's built successfully with FreeType bridge enabled.
