This is what I understood, but this one DNS server I have simply refuses to realise that it is authoritative. The 'NS' record matches the server, and the zone entry in the 'named.conf' file specifies that this is a 'master' for the zone. I'm stumped! Patrick. -----Original Message----- From: Arthur W. Authoratative nameservers are masters for the zones in their database.
