Unfortunately it is not working correctly under FreeBSD. It does not work for me, and i found on google that it doesn't work correctly for many other people. I tried Freebsd 4.x, 5.x and 6.1. Here are the errors which occur when system works: Sep 12 11:03:35 multix kernel: ad6: WARNING - SETFEATURES SET TRANSFER MODE taskqueue timeout - completing request directly Sep 12 11:03:35 multix kernel: ad6: TIMEOUT - WRITE_DMA retrying (1 retry left) LBA=8159967 Sep 12 11:55:36 multix kernel: ad4: FAILURE - READ_DMA status=51 error=40 LBA=8878591 Sep 12 11:55:36 multix kernel: ar0: WARNING - mirror protection lost. RAID1 array in DEGRADED mode Sep 12 11:55:36 multix kernel: ar0: writing of Silicon Image Medley metadata is NOT supported yet Do You have similar problems ? What SATA controller could you suggest ? I must be on card (PCI?) so i could plug in to my current server. It have to work stable under Freebsd 6.1. It should be chip. It doesn't have to be real hardware RAID (it can use software from BIOS). Thanx
