Hmmm. Sounds like a fun MIPS device. There is currently an effort underway to get NetBSD running on MIPS based handhelds. Specifically NEC Vr41xx based PDAs. This is being done by a group of Japanese hackers and isn't stable yet, to the best of my knowledge (my MIPS based PDA comes in tomorrow or Monday). They have written a boot loader as well for WinCE. There is also another effort to get the R39xx based PDAs working with Linux, but I'm only allowed to mention it in passing. There is another effort to get Linux working on a WINCE based X/Win terminal which uses Vr4300, but I can't talk about it more than that. What kind of MIPS processor is there? I'm available for consulting on this :-) Warner To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-small" in the body of the message
