Reviving this thread because I made an interesting observation: I recently= =20 changed to Mobo of the 5.0-RELEASE system from an ASUS P2B-B (Intel=20 440BX/PIIX4) to an ASUS CUSL2-M (Intel 815E/ICH2) and lo and behold - the=20 write cache is disabled now, according to atacontrol cap. Maybe there is a= =20 bug hidden in there somewhere after all... =2D-=20 Regards, Michael Nottebrock --Boundary-02=_V/Vw+OpMfIvdhGp Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQA+wV/VXhc68WspdLARAgtrAKCj3Ut7HE4iJOnARplGLW+UN3dqiACgqKHA yZR9OpJW0qNR8MnHsMjWst8= =p9vk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Boundary-02=_V/Vw+OpMfIvdhGp--
