Here are my findings for Mozilla 5.0b1: 1) lesstif does not work (compiles fine, but executable just won't) 2) Motif 1.2.4 _does_ work. Netscape seems reasonably stable. 3) As of so far, I have yet to see if there is support for mail/newsgroups in the source, however 4) The source for java is there. It so happens to compile it needs a class not in the latest jdk 1.1.5 port, so java doesn't work. (yet) 5) compiling without BUILD_OPT can have disastrous effects on disk space, and the binary will probably not run and on more cosmetic notes: 6) text alignment, especially with underlines, looks terrible 7) we (myself included) should start on a good set of xpms to replace that dull logo Seeing as I am (I guess) the first person to compile mozilla successfully on the 2_2_RELENG branch, I have uploaded a statically-linked binary, for testing purposes of course and for those eager to try it out, and it can be found at: ftp://cdrom.com/pub/FreeBSD/incoming/mozilla-5.0b1-i386-freebsd2.2.6.tar.gz Cheers -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Brian Feldman green@feldman.dyn.ml.org fortune -o: "Nuke the gay, unborn, baby whales for Jesus." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mozilla" in the body of the message
