Am I suppose to use wcd for the port? How do I determine what address to use. When DOS boots my sound card the card gives me an address. Do I use this? The documentation refers to a IDE CDROM. I have an IDE harddrive, but my CD is not connected to it. The CD is connected to my soundblaster card. This is a quad speed drive. The documentation is a little confusing if you are not extremely knowledeable on hardware. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 6 Mar 1996 22:21:51 -0500 (EST) From: Tony Ward To: dwhite@resnet.uoregon.edu Cc: tward@sprint.net Subject: Re: Soundblaster CDROM > > On Tue, 5 Mar 1996, Tony Ward wrote: > > > I am in desperate need of assistance. I made another boot floppy as you suggested. When the system rebooted, I changed the matcdc0 port to -1. This didn't cause the CD light to come on. When the config was finished, I tried to select the Installation media of CD and it said that I didn't have one. I also tried it with the default settings to no avail. This CD is attached to a Sound Blaster card and is a six speed. What do I do Next? Regards, Tony
