Its just been my experience with FreeBSD that it's the elegance of how well and easy it just works from editing the files. When something doesn't work there is no faulty GUI to have to troubleshoot just go strait to the source of the issue in the file. Anyway, you could always use a locked down version of webmin if you want a quick fix. And also aids you in doing things graphically if that's how you prefer. I want the UI on the router to be text. My point is I do not want the user to have to edit conf files in the field. Ubuntu is nice, but this is a FreeBSD list and FreeBSD runs very nicely with Gnome, which I am using right now to type this with Epiphany and my ISP's clunky web mail system. I have been using FreeBSD since version 2 and Gnome since 1.4. I am certain others here have been at it a lot longer than me. This is not an excuse to start a FreeBSD vs Ubuntu war.=20 Looking forward to hearing you contribute something about FreeBSD.
