In french there are many different spaces, it'd be very painful/difficult to add them in the source code, it's the stylesheet job. The same principle is used when you type a LaTeX document: you don't have to worry about spaces if you added \usepackage[frenchb]{babel} for example. I missed these spaces before the check-in. Regarding the rendering of the French, last time I really looked at it there was issues but it was about 10 years ago... and no time to go further. -- Marc
