To answer yer question, most PC's are fitted with one parallel port (printer port). One can buy extra parallel port extenders and thus use multiple printers on multiple ports. --- Jeroen Ruigrok van der Werven join #FreeBSD on Undernet asmodai(at)wxs.nl Time is merely a residue of Reality... Many people have complained about an adaptec card not working in recent versions of FreeBSD, but it depends on some of these factors: The card's revision number, the motherboard, the version of FreeBSD you are using. It is not a common problem, and there is some uncertainty about whether it is FreeBSD's problem, Adaptec's problem, or a user's problem. Search the FreeBSD archives using www.dejanews.com for information. Using keywords "FreeBSD 2940U" will give you several good messages. In the future, questions like these should be sent to freebsd-questions@freebsd.org, not freebsd-doc. I don't know what freebsd-doc is, and I'm not subscribed to it, so I'm not sure why I even got your message. Good luck. Kenneth J. What I´m supposed to put in the kernel and wich device sould I put in the ppp.conf file instead of the cuaa$ device. I´m going to buy a network card too, will It work on the fly or should I configure something else. I think that the handbook is scstce in this area, and the laptops are selling more and more, so it would be a good idea to make a chapter on configuring PCMCIA. Thanks in advance. PD I have visited PAO´s page but i don´t know what to do with the file i have downloaded. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
