Here is what ftp10.freebsd.org's df output is: Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/ccd0c 139G 49G 78G 39% /freebsd Yeah so you dont need 55 gigs at the moment.. but the archive keeps growing. As for cvsup, if you mirror cvs-all/gnats/www/mail-archive, it will take up around 1.2gigs of space, again, for now. Setting up a cvsup mirror is very simple: # cd /usr/ports/net/cvsup-mirror # make install clean It will ask you a couple questions, and then it sets itself up. Everyone has a different way of setting up thier ftp mirror.. but I'm using rsync which grabs the archive from ftp-master a couple times a day. If you want more in depth info about this, you're going to have to search this mailing list's archive for it. Just in case you're interested, you can see ftp10's usage stats at: http://fadeto.blackened.com/stats/ Hope this helps, -val On Thu, 12 Jul 2001, [iso-8859-1] =CDsak Ben. wrote: :Hi there. : :I was thinking about setting up an cvsup mirror and/or ftp mirror :since the :current icelandic one seems to be out of date, but i need some :info....how :much space will it require and maybe some info on the best way to :set it up and how? ;) : : :-- :Mbk, :=CDsak Ben :Kerfisstj=F3ri :www.snerpa.is : :To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org :with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message : To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-hubs Thu Jul 12 13:55: 8 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from goku.branchmedia.com (goku.branchmedia.com [216.129.214.40]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5C09737B401 for ; Thu, 12 Jul 2001 13:55:06 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from mitayai@branchmedia.com) Received: (from root@localhost) by goku.branchmedia.com (8.11.4/8.11.4) id f6CKstc13349 for freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org; Thu, 12 Jul 2001 16:54:55 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from mitayai@branchmedia.com) Received: from shadow (shadow.branchmedia.com [216.129.214.38]) by goku.branchmedia.com (8.11.4/8.11.4av) with SMTP id f6CKsqi13340 for ; Thu, 12 Jul 2001 16:54:53 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from mitayai@branchmedia.com) From: "Mit Rowe" To: Subject: rsync server Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2001 16:54:24 -0400 Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 (Normal) X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook IMO, Build 9.0.2416 (9.0.2911.0) X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4522.1200 Importance: Normal X-Virus-Scanned: by AMaViS perl-10 Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org is there a public rsync server for the freebsd distribution that i could access? i'm in canada, if someone has one close...
