Someone was working on the PCI attachment some time ago, but I have not heard of any progress. Does anyone know what the status of HFC-S/PCI support is? I seem to have one of those lying around as well, so if there has been no progress, I might start to look for the chipset documentation myself... :-) Cheers, - Juha Marko Rebrina wrote: > > Hi > Howto setup this card to work with FreeBSD ? > ASUS ISDNLink 128K (HFC 2BDS0 PCI) > > Linux: > HiSax: HFC-PCI driver Rev. 1.34.6.5 > PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 00:09.0 > HiSax: HFC-PCI card manufacturer: Asuscom/Askey card name: 675 > HFC-PCI: defined at mem 0xd08ca000 fifo 0xcf618000(0xf618000) IRQ 10 HZ 100 > HFC_PCI: resetting card > HFC 2BDS0 PCI: IRQ 10 count 0 > HFC 2BDS0 PCI: IRQ 10 count 34 > > FreeBSD: > > pci0: (vendor=0x1043, dev=0x0675) at 9.0 irq 10 > > -- > -o) // Marko Rebrina, http://jagor.srce.hr/~mrebrina, ICQ:20358351 \\ > /\\ > _\_v Serving FREE beer to the users of the FREE Linux of a FREE world > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message -- Juha-Matti Liukkonen, Cubical Solutions Ltd Phone: +358(0)405280142 Email: jml@cubical.fi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-isdn Mon Jun 4 1:31:20 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from hcshh.hcs.de (hcshh.hcs.de [194.123.40.1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D4BCE37B401 for ; Mon, 4 Jun 2001 01:31:17 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from hm@hcs.de) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by hcshh.hcs.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9E934BA44; Mon, 4 Jun 2001 10:31:16 +0200 (CEST) Received: from hcswork.hcs.de (hcswork.hcs.de [172.24.124.5]) by hcshh.hcs.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 63B2EBA27; Mon, 4 Jun 2001 10:31:15 +0200 (CEST) Received: by hcswork.hcs.de (Postfix, from userid 200) id 320DC529; Mon, 4 Jun 2001 10:31:15 +0200 (METDST) Subject: Re: Asus ISDNLink 128K (PCI) In-Reply-To: <3B1B2AD0.184D85A2@cubical.fi> "from Juha-Matti Liukkonen at Jun 4, 2001 09:29:36 am" To: Juha-Matti Liukkonen Date: Mon, 4 Jun 2001 10:31:15 +0200 (METDST) Cc: Marko Rebrina , freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Reply-To: hm@hcs.de Organization: HCS Hanseatischer Computerservice GmbH X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4ME+ PL84 (25)] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Message-Id: <20010604083115.320DC529@hcswork.hcs.de> From: hm@hcs.de (Hellmuth Michaelis) Sender: owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org From the keyboard of Juha-Matti Liukkonen: > as far as I know, the HFC-S chipset is not supported by isdn4bsd in its > PCI incarnation (some HFC-S based ISA card is supported, though). It basically probes, attaches and receives data on the D-channel and thats it. The chip is a bit weird to understand and program but promises good throughput due to its architecture.
