I have checked the archives and there is no mention of such an error ( gdk_input_add ). There was something about gettext, but this has nothing to do with it, I presume and I do have gettext installed. Is there a solution to this or am I doing something wrong ? No I don't think so. Rather, I think this is expected. It looks like the JPI wants gtk12. This is fine when you're using a version of Mozilla compiled with gtk12. However, when you're using mozilla-devel-gtk2, the gtk12 symbols won't be resolvable. Try moving the Java plugin out of the way, and see if the bus error goes away. Hi, Tried that, but still the same error. It core dumps after saying that it cannot open "/usr/local/jdk1.3.1/jre/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so". Does the latest update to mozilla fix this ? I am compiling the latest update as of now. I've never reproduced this problem myself. You will always get an error about the inability to open the Java plugin if you don't have jdk13 installed. Have you tried moving the JPI symlink out of /usr/X11R6/lib/browser_plugins? If it's a problem with the plugin, that should tell you. By any chance, are your machines Athalons? The warning about "could not initalize plugin" is just a warning, it wouldn't core dump. Also, make sure you have the latest freetype2 installed (you might also try reinstalling it to be sure everything is still in tact). You may also want to try using an English locale if you're not already. I know C and en_US.ISO_8859-1 work.
