Ever visit a website that worked like a labyrinth? I hate that. The idea I had would be to group information in what I would think to be a better fasion. Make it easier to find different things before our site turns into a labyrinth-like mess. In this sence, I kind of agree with both points. Information should be easy to find, and work with all browsers... Wait until you see my patch and then tell me what you think. -- Tom Rhodes From owner-freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Nov 19 03:33:52 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-www@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9C36E16A4CE; Wed, 19 Nov 2003 03:33:52 -0800 (PST) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AB0EE43FDD; Wed, 19 Nov 2003 03:33:51 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from wosch@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (wosch@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.12.9/8.12.9) with ESMTP id hAJBXpFY004684; Wed, 19 Nov 2003 03:33:51 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from wosch@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from wosch@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.12.9/8.12.9/Submit) id hAJBXp7g004680; Wed, 19 Nov 2003 03:33:51 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from wosch) Date: Wed, 19 Nov 2003 03:33:51 -0800 (PST) From: Wolfram Schneider Message-Id: <200311191133.hAJBXp7g004680@freefall.freebsd.org> To: wosch@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-www@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: www/46195: man page kadmind(8) not found at www.FreeBSD.ORG X-BeenThere: freebsd-www@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD Project Webmasters List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 19 Nov 2003 11:33:52 -0000 Synopsis: man page kadmind(8) not found at www.FreeBSD.ORG Responsible-Changed-From-To: freebsd-www->freebsd-doc Responsible-Changed-By: wosch Responsible-Changed-When: Wed Nov 19 03:28:02 PST 2003 Responsible-Changed-Why: This is not a bug on www.freebsd.org. At the moment we have three functional mirrors in Germany, and that is right around the number of mirrors per country we're shooting for. Some countries still have more but we kind of "inherited" that - having more than around three sites per country makes that drop-down list get a bit long. As IPv6 spreads more we will probably expand that section of the list a bit as well so for now we're being a bit more conservative about how many sites per country we list. If it's OK with you I'll hang on to this offer though, if we have problems with one of the existing sites I might get back into contact with you to see if your offer is still open. Thanks for the offer of support, we appreciate it. -- Ken Smith - From there to here, from here to | kensmith@cse.buffalo.edu there, funny things are everywhere. | - Theodore Geisel | From owner-freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Nov 20 12:17:19 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-www@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 798F316A4CF for ; Thu, 20 Nov 2003 12:17:19 -0800 (PST) Received: from redmaple.bitnets.net (redmaple.bitnets.net [216.123.230.38]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 88D1343FDF for ; Thu, 20 Nov 2003 12:17:18 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from b03@interbaun.com) Received: from interbaun.com ([216.123.200.115]) by redmaple.bitnets.net (NO UCE) with ASMTP (SSL) id FFP37861 for ; Thu, 20 Nov 2003 13:17:17 -0700 Message-ID: <3FBD214C.1060800@interbaun.com> Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2003 13:17:16 -0700 From: Gary Bajaj User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 X-Accept-Language: en-ca, en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: www@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.1 Subject: News X-BeenThere: freebsd-www@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD Project Webmasters List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2003 20:17:19 -0000 Hi, I would like to submit the following news: FreeBSD was showcased at the Technology for Success show at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta on November 18, 2003. BITNETS Inc. , the servers consulting and secure mail hosting provider that featured FreeBSD at the show with the slogan "Switch to FreeBSD", promoted it as a fast and secure alternative, free, open source server OS of choice for web servers running Apache, DNS servers running BIND and a variety of secure mail server components. BITNETS also cited FreeBSD as having the fastest TCP/IP stack, being robust, more secure than common Linux distributions and having no potential legal issues as compared to Linux. There were mixed responses, from total unawareness of and ecstasy upon realizing that FreeBSD is /free/, to Linux proponents being miffed at the comparison to Linux. Regards, Gary Bajaj BITNETS Inc.
