List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2004 17:47:14 -0000 Hi, everyone! This offer is to any FreeBSD developer or user that is interested in getting acquainted with ATM, wants to write a driver, or wants to add some diversity to his or her ATM network. I have a large quantity of ATM PCI cards and a few switches that I do not need anymore. These could be very useful for educational projects or perhaps even in real networks. Depending on the shipping costs, I may or may not ask the recipients to help pay to get them to their new homes. The switches are Madge Collage 280 models, with 12 ATM25 (RJ45) ports and two modules for OC3 (fiber) or ATM155 (RJ45). I have plenty of modules for these. These switches would be great for connecting multiple test clients to a bigger ATM switch. The cards are labeled "Madge Collage 25 PCI Adapter". There is no FreeBSD driver for them, but there is one for Linux (hint, hint!) I have about one hundred of these to give out, so anyone who has the time to write a driver would very likely be helping other FreeBSD ATM users. Aside from the Madge ATM25 cards, the switches work great with the Fore LE25 cards, which go cheap on ebay and already have FreeBSD support. I also have a small assortment of Madge ATM155 (RJ45) PCI cards for anyone who wants them. There is also a Madge 530 switch with 16 10baseT ethernet ports and one OC3 (fiber), which might be useful for testing LANE. There should be enough for everyone :-) but if not, I will give preference to developers and researchers. If you are interested in getting some ATM cards or a switch, please let me know and I'll start making my list. All the best, -Richard From owner-freebsd-atm@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Mar 19 08:58:05 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3A0A016A4CE for ; Fri, 19 Mar 2004 08:58:05 -0800 (PST) Received: from proton.hexanet.fr (proton.hexanet.fr [81.23.32.33]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 82F9543D2F for ; Fri, 19 Mar 2004 08:58:04 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from c.prevotaux@hexanet.fr) Received: from hexanet.fr (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by proton.hexanet.fr (Postfix) with SMTP id B67FD4C963 for ; Fri, 19 Mar 2004 17:58:02 +0100 (CET) Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2004 17:58:02 +0100 From: Christophe Prevotaux To: atm@freebsd.org Message-Id: <20040319175802.5891a0aa.c.prevotaux@hexanet.fr> Organization: HEXANET Sarl X-Mailer: Sylpheed version 0.9.6 (GTK+ 1.2.10; i386-portbld-freebsd4.9) X-NCC-RegID: fr.hexanet Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Subject: Forerunner HE155-SMF-PCI X-BeenThere: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: ATM for FreeBSD! For usage with FreeBSD Netgraph :) If someone knows vendors selling them nowdays please also let me know. I am also looking for some cheap (as cheap as possible) way to colorize the signal output by these cards in order to inject signal in a passive CWDM MUX-DEMUX.
