I can't to work vmware2 on 5.4-R. When I was using 4.10-R, vmware2 was working without a trouble, 1. get a latest ports tarball for vmware2. 2. make patch 3. rest patch as manually. 4. make install 5. compile and apply binary patch(ftp://platan.vc.cvut.cz/pub/vmware/). BIOS messages appeared after power on the vm, but guest OS does not start the boot, and the system performance slow down. (ex. the responce of mouse cursor become very wrong) I found 'unknown CPU 2000 GHz' in BIOS messages. The cpu of my PC is Celeron 2.6 GHz. (When 4.10-R, the cpu was celeron 566 @ 850MHz) Please any hints.
