A fifth was taken off life support and died this week. The last time so many firefighters were killed battling a wildfire was July 1994, when 14 were killed near Glenwood Springs, Colorado, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. Oyler was charged with five counts of murder, 11 counts of arson and 10 counts of use of an incendiary device. The charges include seven fires in June, one in July, one in September and two in October. Small planes could previously fly below 1,100 feet along the river without filing flight plans or checking in with air traffic control. The FAA said the rule change -- a temporary one -- was made for safety reasons. Two days after the accident, the Federal Aviation Administration ordered small, fixed-wing planes not to fly over the East River unless the pilot is in contact with air traffic controllers. It died again while doing heavy I/O and CPU (recursive fetching a website while building apache22). It would seem that the the failures are much harder to reproduce with PREEMPTION off, but I guess still a problem. Maybe turning SMP off would be the final kicker. I might be willing to provide access to this machine and its serial console if it would be of any help in debugging the problem. --Kevin From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Nov 7 18:10:30 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-alpha@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9B24916A417 for ; Tue, 7 Nov 2006 18:10:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 656AE43D5A for ; Tue, 7 Nov 2006 18:10:30 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id kA7IAUNX097790 for ; Tue, 7 Nov 2006 18:10:30 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id kA7IAUsO097789; Tue, 7 Nov 2006 18:10:30 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Date: Tue, 7 Nov 2006 18:10:30 GMT Message-Id: <200611071810.kA7IAUsO097789@freefall.freebsd.org> To: freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.org From: "Kevin Thompson" Cc: Subject: Re: alpha/105134: 'panic: lockmgr: thread ... not exclusive lock owner' on SMP Alpha EV6 machine X-BeenThere: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: Kevin Thompson List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Alpha List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 07 Nov 2006 18:10:30 -0000 The following reply was made to PR alpha/105134; it has been noted by GNATS.
