The problem is that whenever a video is being played and there is a reasonable amount of disk activity (e.g dd if=/dev/urandom of=test), the video skips and the mplayer status shows that it's had to drop frames to keep the video and audio in sync. This happens even if the video is located on a memory disk. Swapping my video and sound cards for cards with different chipsets makes no difference. I have tested using the same video under NetBSD 3.0 and Linux 2.6.{16|17} and neither of them exhibit this problem. Copyright (c) 1992-2006 The FreeBSD Project. So the timer become 0 and the other menu is displayed, where you can choose wich kind of instalation you'll use. In this screen the keyboard is also 'dead' so nothing can be done to install freeBSD. The keyboard is not actually dead because the Caps light and Num Lock light turn on and off when the respective button is pressed, but it seems that the PC don't recognize the action of a key pressed. I'm using an USB keyboard... does this has anything to do?? I haven't been able to get another keyboard to try it.
