PC-BSD fixed a bug in their CD last month, which is reflected in their numbers ... they wrote /var/db/bsdstats to the CD, so all hosts were being reported as the same one ... so that's why the huge jump in their "1st of Month" report ... Thanks to all that are participating ... for those just tuning in, please check out http://www.bsdstats.org ... there was a new version put up (v5.3, already in FreeBSD ports) over the past little while that extends the reporting for the FreeBSD ports system ... I have no experience with any of the other *BSD ports systems, but if someone would like to submit a patch to include theirs, please feel free. It is another purely optional report that gives numbers of ports in use, including version numbers, for the various software packages. We could take the absence of a README to mean that Xorg "just works" in FreeBSD :). -- FreeBSD Volunteer, http://people.freebsd.org/~jkoshy/ From owner-freebsd-advocacy@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Jan 5 11:44:16 2007 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B029116A40F for ; Fri, 5 Jan 2007 11:44:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from nobody@wwwhosts.uff.br) Received: from wwwhosts.uff.br (www.uff.br [200.20.0.21]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 456BA13C44B for ; Fri, 5 Jan 2007 11:44:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from nobody@wwwhosts.uff.br) Received: from wwwhosts (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by wwwhosts.uff.br (8.13.4/8.13.4) with SMTP id l057j19j024212; Fri, 5 Jan 2007 05:45:01 -0200 Date: Fri, 5 Jan 2007 05:45:01 -0200 Message-Id: <200701050745.l057j19j024212@wwwhosts.uff.br> Received: (from nobody@wwwhosts) by wwwhosts (mini_sendmail/1.3.6 29jun2005); Fri, 05 Jan 2007 05:45:01 BRST (sender nobody@wwwhosts) To: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org From: equipe@charges.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.5 Cc: equipe@charges.com Subject: Charge para Voce!
