HPS As some might remember, I've setup my Asterisk on a FreeBSD 6.1-RELENG box with the i4b from HPS, including the chan_capi (AVM Fritz) and Asterisk from the ports collection, runs well. I'm now planning on upgrading a bit. For one I'd like to move to the 6.2-RELENG branch. I quess the save way to do this is to de-install i4b, do the cvsup to 6.2-RELENG and get that running without i4b and then do a fresh install after an svn update with the current version. If anybody sees any pitfalls with that, please tell me! Now to the more important question. Can anybody recommend me a multi port BRI card for this combo of software. It needs to support at least one, better two S0 in NT mode and one as TE connected to a DDI S0 from our local telco NT1. I've seen the thread about the Digium D410P(€635) and spotted the BN4S0 from Beronet (€450) , Junghanns.net has a quadBRI 2.0 as well. All prices in Euros excl. VAT on voipango.de. In addition, I think I need a power supply for the NT-Mode S0, the beronet one is around €82. At the moment, I'm in favor of the Beronet card, as it's quite a difference to the Digium one. Does that sound reasonable to you? And, does it work? -- Oliver From owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Aug 11 08:30:01 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 127EC16A419 for ; Sat, 11 Aug 2007 08:30:01 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from hselasky@c2i.net) Received: from swip.net (mailfe01.swip.net [212.247.154.1]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A368713C45B for ; Sat, 11 Aug 2007 08:30:00 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from hselasky@c2i.net) X-Cloudmark-Score: 0.000000 [] Received: from [193.217.102.39] (account mc467741@c2i.net HELO [10.0.0.249]) by mailfe01.swip.net (CommuniGate Pro SMTP 5.1.10) with ESMTPA id 553817832; Sat, 11 Aug 2007 10:29:58 +0200 From: Hans Petter Selasky To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2007 10:30:08 +0200 User-Agent: KMail/1.9.7 References: <46BC8094.7020207@ovb.ch> In-Reply-To: <46BC8094.7020207@ovb.ch> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline Message-Id: <200708111030.08666.hselasky@c2i.net> Cc: Oliver von Bueren Subject: Re: Recommended BRI Interface with i4b (HPS-Edition) and Asterisk/chan_capi on 6.2 X-BeenThere: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Using ISDN with FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2007 08:30:01 -0000 On Friday 10 August 2007, Oliver von Bueren wrote: > Hi all, esp. And, does it work? The Digium one has some additional DPS's which I haven't added support for= =20 yet. That's why it is somewhat more expensive. I would suggest that you buy a QuadBRI. Then you have some extra ports in c= ase=20 of lightning or whatever. The BN4S0 is supported by my I4B. =2D-HPS
