The idea is to try to match up people who are interested in going through the PRs with committers that are interested in helping. It is generated from the file /home/linimon/public_html/recommended.prs on freefall. This is intended to be a low-volume posting to see if we can get more people interested in bugbusting without being overwhelmed by the other weekly postings. List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2008 22:12:11 -0000 Now that we've made a lot of progress in evaluating the state of various PRs in the database (from the last Bugathon and subsequent work), I think the next Bugathon should be devoted to trying to getting some commits done based on that. To do that, of course, we need some committers to help us, but I think if we can show them a list of PRs that that will be easier. Here are the suggestions I have: - PRs that are posted as "recommended for review by the bugbusting team" - PRs in the 'patched' state awaiting MFCs to 7 and/or 6. - PRs that have been evaluated in the past month, as a result of the last Bugathon. In addition I would also like to identify: - Any PRs in the 'open' state that really should be in the 'patched' state. I'm not sure I will have the cycles in the next few days to write a script to automatically flag these, but I will try. Also note that by this weekend, the ports tree should be completely unfrozen, so there's probably a lot of low-hanging fruit there as well. So how does this sound to people? mcl From owner-freebsd-bugbusters@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Feb 28 01:05:59 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-bugbusters@FreeBSD.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BD696106566B for ; Thu, 28 Feb 2008 01:05:59 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from trhodes@FreeBSD.org) Received: from pittgoth.com (pittgoth.com [205.134.163.206]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 741B68FC13 for ; Thu, 28 Feb 2008 01:05:59 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from trhodes@FreeBSD.org) Received: from localhost.fbsdsecure.org (net-ix.gw.ai.net [205.134.160.6]) (authenticated bits=0) by pittgoth.com (8.13.6/8.13.6) with ESMTP id m1S0hUPu015910 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=NOT) for ; Wed, 27 Feb 2008 19:43:30 -0500 (EST) (envelope-from trhodes@FreeBSD.org) Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2008 19:43:18 -0500 From: Tom Rhodes To: freebsd-bugbusters@FreeBSD.org Message-Id: <20080227194318.57791758.trhodes@FreeBSD.org> In-Reply-To: <20080227221210.GB6275@soaustin.net> References: <20080227221210.GB6275@soaustin.net> X-Mailer: Sylpheed version 1.0.6 (GTK+ 1.2.10; i386-portbld-freebsd8.0) Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: Subject: Re: proposed next Bugathon X-BeenThere: freebsd-bugbusters@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: "Coordination of the Problem Report handling effort."
