Well, perhaps it should be noted that even though a port exists for Flash 9, it does not really work even with the linux-firefox port, the browser locks up from time to time with it even on sites that work OK with Flash 7 + native or linux-firefox. So there may be some more work to do than just the Opera part. -- Regards: Szilveszter ADAM Budapest Hungary From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Jan 1 09:46:13 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8B8C416A41A for ; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 09:46:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tim1timau@yahoo.com) Received: from web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com (web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com [206.190.38.62]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 40E9413C4E7 for ; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 09:46:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tim1timau@yahoo.com) Received: (qmail 63792 invoked by uid 60001); 1 Jan 2008 09:19:32 -0000 DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.com; h=X-YMail-OSG:Received:Date:From:Subject:To:In-Reply-To:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding:Message-ID; b=OhClLd3mSDd+iIRZd/k1F5s+d9kz1NajK6n9DeqqI7JhFar9CTkh/NWYLmmbAbLTc5MzPnxzNvRIxepB742Ly4+Pfr8LcFMqFwZDKMN1dhcHPJud1q3STKjFQVZx5e5EvbknDfahX+WM2B6F+TCVFlNzJGenByqOq0VYOARBVY8=; X-YMail-OSG: W6Zkz3YVM1meKDNg.iJr06umwKUWs7of9kCXg1NP5O5N6UOCBpuQcqcLuIFRvQbF4.o1GOilAAtJve2_zu_Aq8PpO.dvqxaaI5KFSSEav8C9e.37n1o- Received: from [203.49.197.51] by web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com via HTTP; Tue, 01 Jan 2008 01:19:31 PST Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2008 01:19:31 -0800 (PST) From: Tim Clewlow To: Szilveszter Adam , freebsd-doc@freebsd.org, freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org In-Reply-To: <20080101072827.GA1277@baranyfelhocske.buza.adamsfamily.xx> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Message-ID: <113036.60157.qm@web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com> Cc: Subject: Re: Bounty announced for Flash9 in Opera in FreeBSD X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 01 Jan 2008 09:46:13 -0000 --- Szilveszter Adam wrote: > On Mon, Dec 31, 2007 at 05:13:30PM -0800, John Kozubik wrote: > > > > > > "... I'm guessing there are a number of people who want to have native flash 9 working in the netscape family of browsers, in particular firefox. Maybe the maintainer(s) who put together flash 7 can let us know what needs to be done, and we could help each other with creating the code together. It could be an opportunity for new people to learn how to code for FreeBSD, I suspect there are many out there who want to contribute, but are not that sure how (the ports system alone can be intimidating at first glance). So how about we get together and show each other how. Just a thought, Tim. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing. Well, perhaps it should be noted that even though a port exists for Flash 9, it does not really work even with the linux-firefox port, the browser locks up from time to time with it even on sites that work OK with Flash 7 + native or linux-firefox. So there may be some more work to do than just the Opera part. -- Regards: Szilveszter ADAM Budapest Hungary _______________________________________________ freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-advocacy To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-advocacy-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Jan 1 19:04:40 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6D1CE16A420 for ; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 19:04:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from root@lupin.parts-unknown.org) Received: from lupin.parts-unknown.org (lupin.cybernude.org [66.93.170.242]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 1B95313C458 for ; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 19:04:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from root@lupin.parts-unknown.org) Received: (qmail 9463 invoked by uid 0); 1 Jan 2008 18:35:07 -0000 Received: (qmail 62740 invoked from network); 1 Jan 2008 09:46:43 -0000 Received: from qmail by qscan (mail filter); 1 Jan 2008 09:46:43 +0000 Received: from mx2.freebsd.org (69.147.83.53) by lupin.parts-unknown.org with SMTP; 1 Jan 2008 09:46:43 -0000 Received: from hub.freebsd.org (hub.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::36]) by mx2.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 896C7918E; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 09:46:20 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from owner-freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org) Received: from hub.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7D48616A47A; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 09:46:20 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from owner-freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org) Delivered-To: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 98BB516A420 for ; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 09:46:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tim1timau@yahoo.com) Received: from web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com (web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com [206.190.38.62]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 490AF13C4E8 for ; Tue, 1 Jan 2008 09:46:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tim1timau@yahoo.com) Received: (qmail 63792 invoked by uid 60001); 1 Jan 2008 09:19:32 -0000 DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.com; h=X-YMail-OSG:Received:Date:From:Subject:To:In-Reply-To:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding:Message-ID; b=OhClLd3mSDd+iIRZd/k1F5s+d9kz1NajK6n9DeqqI7JhFar9CTkh/NWYLmmbAbLTc5MzPnxzNvRIxepB742Ly4+Pfr8LcFMqFwZDKMN1dhcHPJud1q3STKjFQVZx5e5EvbknDfahX+WM2B6F+TCVFlNzJGenByqOq0VYOARBVY8=; X-YMail-OSG: W6Zkz3YVM1meKDNg.iJr06umwKUWs7of9kCXg1NP5O5N6UOCBpuQcqcLuIFRvQbF4.o1GOilAAtJve2_zu_Aq8PpO.dvqxaaI5KFSSEav8C9e.37n1o- Received: from [203.49.197.51] by web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com via HTTP; Tue, 01 Jan 2008 01:19:31 PST Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2008 01:19:31 -0800 (PST) From: Tim Clewlow To: Szilveszter Adam , freebsd-doc@freebsd.org, freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org In-Reply-To: <20080101072827.GA1277@baranyfelhocske.buza.adamsfamily.xx> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Message-ID: <113036.60157.qm@web50308.mail.re2.yahoo.com> X-BeenThere: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Sender: owner-freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Errors-To: owner-freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Cc: Subject: Re: Bounty announced for Flash9 in Opera in FreeBSD X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 01 Jan 2008 19:04:40 -0000 --- Szilveszter Adam wrote: > On Mon, Dec 31, 2007 at 05:13:30PM -0800, John Kozubik wrote: > > > > > > "... I'm not sure it adds any value to the current page, but does work, so that decision can be made by someone else... The only potential problem I see with this is that when it finds multiple ports matching the expression it lists them all on a single line, which some users may find confusing. You'll more than likely be interested in the 'Network Services' section, which can be found at http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/network-servers.html That said, you will need to do a bit of research too, as the handbook cannot provide information for every type of configuration possible for each of these services. Hope this helps, Marc On Fri, 4 Jan 2008 12:45:44 +0530 "Dhanendar Reddy" wrote: > Hi, > This is Dhani, > New i had installed FreeBSD. I need to Configure all the Network Services > for me. This is useful with the -c option for discovering which routines were never called. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=gprof&apropos=0&sektion=0&manpath=FreeBSD+8-current&format=html mentions the "-c" option, but there isn't such option throughout the man page. There's a "-C" option, but I'm not sure if it is the correct one. Spotted on a 6.1-RELEASE man page, also occurs in 8-CURRENT. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
