I've been trying to get OOo to run in headless mode on FreeBSD 7 but I haven't been able to get it to actually listen on a network interface. I'm running the latest RELENG_7 compiled with "-O". I've tried the 2.4.0 and DEV300_m5 binary packages from the Good Day web site, and I've tried using a version of 2.4.0 compiled locally as well. For 2.4.0, here are the command-line options I'm using: -invisible -accept='socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp' -display :0 For 3 DEV: -headless -accept='socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp' -display :0 I have Xvfb running on the box. So I'm wondering if headless mode is known to work on FreeBSD. I'm not sure where to look next. A process trace of soffice.bin isn't telling me much. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks very much. -- o'shaughnessy evans http://isle.wumpus.org/ From owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Sat May 31 17:58:55 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B4F8D1065688 for ; Sat, 31 May 2008 17:58:55 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ulrich@pukruppa.net) Received: from pukruppa.net (pukruppa.net [213.146.114.24]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 23D788FC12 for ; Sat, 31 May 2008 17:58:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ulrich@pukruppa.net) Received: from pukruppa.net (pukruppa.net [213.146.114.24]) by pukruppa.net (8.14.2/8.14.2) with ESMTP id m4VI0UAM094255 for ; Sat, 31 May 2008 20:00:31 +0200 (CEST) (envelope-from ulrich@pukruppa.net) Message-ID: <4841923E.1030507@pukruppa.net> Date: Sat, 31 May 2008 20:00:30 +0200 From: Peter Ulrich Kruppa User-Agent: Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 (X11/20080508) MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-15; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: openoffice.org-3 build failure X-BeenThere: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting OpenOffice to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 31 May 2008 17:58:55 -0000 Hello, I tried building openoffice.org-3 on FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE amd.
