Or even this chip is not planned to be supported? I can try and take a look at this, I'll at least need a pciconf -lv. My next couple of weeks is pretty full right now though, so you may have to ping me... I suspect that even if we get agp working, drm won't work until I get a new drm release ready, hopefully in the next few weeks. robert. > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-x11@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-x11 > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-x11-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" --=-PUvdGNwsBWlCLgBKofX1 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (FreeBSD) iEYEABECAAYFAkiNyQIACgkQM4TrQ4qfROPpLACeMZIb3THSA5cJ9OXKHqDpbvgR rrYAn1IA+pqmz7bafTxz3w4nKv/pAdr7 =W836 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-PUvdGNwsBWlCLgBKofX1-- From owner-freebsd-x11@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Jul 28 14:47:47 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 79FBF1065673 for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2008 14:47:47 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from alexey.pelykh@gmail.com) Received: from yw-out-2324.google.com (yw-out-2324.google.com [74.125.46.30]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 250D88FC2B for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2008 14:47:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from alexey.pelykh@gmail.com) Received: by yw-out-2324.google.com with SMTP id 9so1264565ywe.13 for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2008 07:47:46 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:message-id:date:from:to :subject:cc:in-reply-to:mime-version:content-type:references; bh=oLAMXmEciDlcLwdj/hfwWbBcNsr4TUJxVlgWXH5mLTM=; b=Me9tSiQu5ClMuUEgx+d8OdBlmMoSwjc2i0NFSqjL0K+IEAAi6j/SgSUCf4kCnrerFi uExs8i88l1eV1wQWR3PG3VuYjKiN23Ba3blip5Fy1wF5o1aLnZ3bASsJKriGnDX7Nm2g gxE0dIpPn14Bfy9ieu1odnHEZItgGr6boGXU0= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=message-id:date:from:to:subject:cc:in-reply-to:mime-version :content-type:references; b=ujFXzYaIRziYKMFosNOZjxcOVebXDYMMoVAN7U6MavZRVXSl0sF6gdrYX2qGtq0q5d V/Jery9lYqHhZ02aOtCle13zfvssShHKs2HJhxr0VUpfs+uM2K2m3SPhy8VN70THXlJS NnsYxpTtk8Zn+W+Byh8O+cUg9kTVVsqGvzjx8= Received: by 10.100.134.10 with SMTP id h10mr8491867and.80.1217256466253; Mon, 28 Jul 2008 07:47:46 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.150.230.13 with HTTP; Mon, 28 Jul 2008 07:47:46 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: <8b5e056c0807280747o5013c8aen87c3716ac01a74a5@mail.gmail.com> Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2008 17:47:46 +0300 From: "Alexey Pelykh" To: "Robert Noland" In-Reply-To: <1217251586.1901.19.camel@wombat.2hip.net> MIME-Version: 1.0 References: <8b5e056c0807280358r51eb2387yb1cc07c5f3a6135f@mail.gmail.com> <1217251586.1901.19.camel@wombat.2hip.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.5 Cc: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org Subject: Re: Intel GMA3100@G31 X-BeenThere: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: X11 on FreeBSD -- maintaining and support List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2008 14:47:47 -0000 Also, an addition, some information about configuration Motherboard: ASUS P5KPL-E http://asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1895&l1=3&l2=11&l3=563&l4=0 On Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 4:26 PM, Robert Noland wrote: > On Mon, 2008-07-28 at 13:58 +0300, Alexey Pelykh wrote: > > Unfortunately I'm not able to make this thing to work under FreeBSD > > 7.0-RELEASE. I just tested it on two laptops here and it works fine on both of them. One of them has a 915GM chipset and the other one has a 965GM. I have had to run with the NoAccel option turned on for a while but that is now no longer neccesary. I have two Dell 1908FP monitors running in a dual head setup. After the recent upgrade to the ati driver, dual head display stopped working - X appears to fall back to a mirrored display. The issues seem similar to the following reports: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-x11/2008-July/006496.html http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-x11/2008-July/006497.html I'm running the command "xrandr --output DVI-1 --mode 1280x1024 --left-of DVI-0" in my .xinitrc to setup dual head. I don't remember getting it. I have only saved one Xorg log file from the old driver and that error is not in there. Very nice. Quick question for you Christian, you were running with NoAccel, were you getting this error with it? Error in I830WaitLpRing(), timeout for 2 seconds (WW) intel(0): PRB0_CTL (0x0001f001) indicates ring buffer enabled (WW) intel(0): PRB0_HEAD (0x13e1ad64) and PRB0_TAIL (0x0001afa8) indicate ring buffer not flushed (WW) intel(0): Existing errors found in hardware state. I'd love if this new version has fixed this problem. -- Over the years I've come to regard you as people I've met. O< ascii ribbon campaign - stop html mail - www.asciiribbon.org
