I made some patches for OpenRD Client and Ultimate. By my patches, I confirmed that I can use OpenRD Ultimate (Sorry, I don't have OpenRD Client). If you OKed, I'll commit attached patches. My modifications: mge(4): 1. Change how to get PHY numbers if not defined `phy-handle' on a dts file. OpenRD already set it on FreeBSD booting. Suggested by: hrs@ 2. Change how to set PHY numbers. Suggested by: Kristof Provost 3. Remove waiting link-up codes. Reported by: nyan@ 4. Don't count-up watchdog timer if link downed. Pointed out by: yongari@ mvs(4): 5. FDT-ish Kernel Configuration: 6. Generated by DB-88F6XXX, and added some my flavour, mvs(4). Device Tree Source: 7. Generated by db88f6281.dts. 8. Add second NIC. 9. Setup MPP for OpenRD Client/Ultimate. Obtained from: u-boot-1.1.4_2010.5.5.tar.bz2 on http://code.google.com/p/openrd/downloads/list 10. Change PCI address range. TODO: a. OpenRD base support (some different MPP) b. uart(4) is storange, maybe s/1066/115200/: uart0: console (1066,n,8,1) c. PCI mem address range 0xf4000000 to 0xe8000000 (max 128MB) In this time, I can get following results, so I set following parameter to openrd-cl.dts. Please = note the DTS (compatible prop in this case) merely describes the = hardware, which is the same no matter what FreeBSD storage driver = flavour will actually be used to run it. A device tree node represents = and describes hardware, and it cannot contain any FreeBSD driver = information like mvs, ata or anything else. As a general side notes when using FDT: - the "device_type" property is only allowed for selected and specific = nodes, which need to retain compatibility with some legacy (Linux) code, = and it's not allowed any longer - "compatible" property value string should follow a "myvendor, mydevice" = approach Rafal From owner-freebsd-arm@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Jun 21 12:32:44 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-arm@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3A4C31065672 for ; Mon, 21 Jun 2010 12:32:44 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from kristof@sigsegv.be) Received: from brigitte.telenet-ops.be (brigitte.telenet-ops.be [195.130.137.66]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A66798FC20 for ; Mon, 21 Jun 2010 12:32:43 +0000 (UTC) Received: from triton.sigsegv.be ([213.119.97.224]) by brigitte.telenet-ops.be with bizsmtp id YcYh1e00Y4qUA0t0GcYhiy; Mon, 21 Jun 2010 14:32:42 +0200 Received: from nereid (nereid.neptune.sigsegv.be [IPv6:2001:470:c8f4:0:200:ff:fe00:8]) by triton.sigsegv.be (Postfix) with SMTP id 778F71C127; Mon, 21 Jun 2010 14:32:40 +0200 (CEST) Received: by nereid (sSMTP sendmail emulation); Mon, 21 Jun 2010 14:32:40 +0200 Date: Mon, 21 Jun 2010 14:32:39 +0200 From: Kristof Provost To: Rafal Jaworowski Message-ID: <20100621123239.GD31846@nereid> References: <20100620220302.8eb84547.nork@FreeBSD.org> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: X-PGP-Fingerprint: 6B6E 5EED 8ECF FAE7 1F61 7458 5046 7D0E 11B0 0EE8 User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.20 (2009-06-14) Cc: freebsd-arm@FreeBSD.org, Alexander Motin , Warner Losh , Norikatsu Shigemura Subject: Re: OpenRD-Client/Ultimate support X-BeenThere: freebsd-arm@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the StrongARM Processor List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 21 Jun 2010 12:32:44 -0000 On 2010-06-21 14:08:47 (+0200), Rafal Jaworowski wrote: > > On 2010-06-20, at 15:03, Norikatsu Shigemura wrote: > > 2. There is support for the S3C2440 in subversion in the above location. Even though there is only a board file for an S3C2410 board I've tested most of the devices with a S3C2440 board I have. You will also want to have a look at [1]. It lists the status of the various devices as I write support for them.
